women's ministry

the women's ministry at crossway exists to help women bring glory to god through the transforming power of the gospel of jesus christ in ways that develop and uphold the values and virtues of biblical womanhood.

As a women's ministry, one of our distinctives is to teach and equip women to honor God by graciously exemplifying the way that He made us in His image ~ equal in dignity and value with men, yet different in roles in the home and the church. When women embrace a God-given vision of biblical womanhood, our homes, churches and cultures are transformed.
Our desire is to see women of all ages, stages, and backgrounds flourish in their faith in Christ whether they are single, widowed, married, or divorced. Of vital importance is to teach women to live lives that are anchored in the Word of God knowing it shapes the way we think, the way we respond to the challenges of life, and the way we interact with others. Helping women in these ways brings health to the church body. To that end, Women's Ministry at CrossWay creates opportunities for studying the Bible together, building deeper relationships, praying and worshipping together, carrying out the Titus 2 biblical mandate, giving and receiving biblical encouragement, and using a variety of God-given gifts to bless the church.

Women's Bible Study

January 25, 2023 - April 5, 2023

please note new start time: 9:00a-11:00a

Are you as prepared for trials and tribulations as you want to be? On Wednesdays this winter we are gathering from January 25th to April 5th at 9 a.m. to study God’s Word using Lydia Brownback’s study guide, 1-2 Peter: Living Hope in a Hard World. This study will help us cling to the God of all hope because He does not abandon us in our suffering. Each week we’ll discuss the text, hear a live teaching, and work together to apply what we’ve learned.  Sign-up begins December 18th and runs to January 22nd, skipping Christmas Day. Week 1 homework will need to be done before class on January 25th. Childcare is available for nursery to age 5 when registering. The cost for this study is $15.

CrossWay women's Book Club:

The God of the garden by Andrew peterson

Join us this February 24 as we discuss our next Women's Book Club pick, The God of the Garden by Andrew Peterson.

“Andrew Peterson’s God of the Garden is a meditation on the wonders of the natural world, and a celebration of the God who made that world. Along the way, it is also a reflection on Peterson’s own life: his childhood and his fall from innocence; his mental struggles as an adult with a successful career in music; his raising of a family; and his love of things made and grown by hand.”

As we gather on Friday evening, February 24th, we will enjoy a casual dinner and conversation together by pitching in $5 for pizza and salad. Then we will dive into a soul-enriching discussion of Andrew Peterson’s book. Sign up and purchase your book in the lobby at the Women’s Ministry table starting December 4th. We will send out your club’s location by email in February. Start time is 6:00 pm on February 24th.
