Studying James Together: A Workshop for
Women Who Want to Grow in Understanding
God’s Word ~ Beginning January 31

Would you like to grow in your ability to study and understand the Bible? You’re not alone! Join the women of Crossway this winter for our 9-week Bible study workshop called Studying James Together: A Workshop for Women Who Want to Grow in Understanding God’s Word.

Each week, we’ll read a passage from the book of James and an excerpt from Jen Wilkin’s Women of the Word  before class. Then, we’ll gather on Wednesday mornings to study the passage together using the different Bible study principles and tools we’ll learn about. The dates are January 31 to March 27 from 9:00-11:00 am. The cost for this study is $10. Crossway Publishers has generously provided 50 free copies of Women of the Word for ladies who don’t already own it. These will be available in the lobby starting December 31. We also strongly suggest that participants bring a study Bible. If you don’t already have one, we recommend the ESV Study Bible.  Large print ESV Study Bibles are also available here. There are many ESV Study Bibles available in different covers and sizes, so look around here.

Childcare (for nursery to 5 yo) is available at sign-up. For those who can’t make Wednesday mornings, we will organize small home groups in various locales so you can study together. There will not be an option to participate on your own at home as this study is designed to be done in community.

We’re excited to see how God uses this Bible study workshop to train our minds and transform our hearts for his glory. His word is a feast for hungry souls. We hope you’ll join us around the table as we dig in together!

Book Club Winter 2024
march 8, 2024

This winter our book club selection is the memoir, The Hiding Place, by Corrie Ten Boom (and E. & J. Sherrill). Corrie and her family welcomed and rescued Jews fleeing persecution under Hitler during WWII and faced the consequences. A beloved book for several decades, the new version features original artwork along with photographs and memorabilia representations from Corrie's own collection. You may use your own copy or purchase one from us for $11 in the lobby in January/February. Register now, purchase a book online ($11.54), and pick it up in the lobby at your convenience in January/February.

We will all read independently and gather in homes on March 8th, 6pm for dinner and discussion. Bring $5 to contribute toward your dinner. You can choose the location near you when registering.
