Worship and care coordinator

Status
Part-Time, 24 hours per week +/- based on need and capacity.

Summary
The Worship and Care Coordinator will provide comprehensive administrative support to two pastors by facilitating the smooth operation of programs, events, and initiatives.

Qualifications
  • A clear understanding of the gospel
  • A daily pursuit of Christian maturity
  • Member of CrossWay or on a trajectory to become a member.
  • Helpful, cheerful, diplomatic and caring servant attitude to all
  • Self-starter with the ability to proactively anticipate needs, follow through and solve problems
  • Ability to organize and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • A gift of hospitality and tact with an ability to apply discretion and trust, keeping strict confidentiality
  • A good ability to use time-management skills in a distractable work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with others
  • A desire to grow and receive coaching and development
  • Ability to learn InDesign, Planning Center, Outlook, Proclaim and other online systems

Presence
  • Anticipate needs and understand unique gifts of each pastor below. 
  • Take initiative for new and special projects, as needed, to lighten the load of the pastors. 
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of integrity in handling confidential information 
  • Understand the ‘voice’ of the pastors and be able to write communication on his behalf 
  • Assist in nurturing relationships with staff, elders and the congregation 
  • Available to assist the pastor(s) at special events throughout the year

  • Coordinate Sunday Service-related Ministries and Efforts
    • Coordinate logistics for the worship, greeting, and communion teams
    • Oversee Sunday worship team recruiting, scheduling, and team communication
    • Produce the weekly bulletin and email
  • Administrative Assistant to Steve Moore
    • Support Missions
  • Administrative Assistant to Steve Handler
    • Support Deacon Ministry
    • Support Mercy Ministries
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks for special events
  • General Office Duties

Expectations
This role is expected to be accomplished in an average of 24 hours per week. There is potential for this role to expand or contract with corresponding weekly hours adjustment based on the needs of the staff team and the candidate's competency and capacity.  Typically, these hours will be completed between Tuesday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Given interest, capability, and need, hours on Sunday may be considered.
