Walk in Love

5 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Sermon Application Questions – 1/5/20

  1. How do the phrases “as beloved children” (v. 1) and “as Christ loved us” (v. 2) help us understand what the command to “walk in love” means?
  2. At one point in the sermon the statement was made, referencing I John 4:16, “living in the truth and depth of God’s love for me is the key to loving others.” Do you agree with that?
  3. How good are you at forgiving, really forgiving? What are the specific desires in your heart that might keep you from forgiving?
  4. How good are you at bearing with? What particular challenges do you face here
Bonus Question: Is there anyone in the church right now from who you are withholding forgiveness? If so, what will you do?
