Sermon Application Questions – 3/22/20
1. Where have you personally sensed the greatest need for help in these past few weeks? Is there anything specific in God’s Word that tells you that God is able and eager to provide that help?
2. I recently heard someone say 'The more time you spend reading God’s Word and praying the less time you will spend being afraid.' Do you think there is truth to that? If it is true it’s certainly not just mechanical. So exactly how might it be true?
3. How does the fact that God is a 'keeping' God register for you? What part of your life does that speak to? How specifically does it strengthen your faith?
4. How has God ministered to you through his Word in these days? Has some Psalm in particular been particularly helpful or meaningful? On what might you meditate and soak in to let God strengthen your faith?
Psalm 121 My Help Comes from the Lord
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
