Pastor for Discipleship
I was born in Kenosha and grew up in a home that loved Jesus. At the young age of seven I heard the gospel clearly and knew that believing in Jesus was the only way to have a relationship with God. But it wasn’t until college at the University of Minnesota that I realized I didn’t think my sin was a big deal because I was a good, religious kid. God kindly and thoroughly showed me that my sin was devastating and yet Jesus was bigger and stronger. Jesus shook up my life from that point: all the religious things I felt obligated to do became the things I couldn’t wait to do.
I finished a degree in Accounting and worked in a few business roles before starting seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. While in seminary, I got connected with The Gospel Coalition and served as the Director of Operations for several years. In 2013, I met a wonderful woman named Ruthie and we were married in 2014.
